Mentor Blessings

I don’t know about you but I believe having mentors is a blessing. Mentors have a unique way of sharing their own personal experiences with you in unknown ways especially if they’re not aware of their mentor status. My mentors are fellow jewelry designer/makers who also have jewelry blogs that focus on sharing their knowledge and understanding gained through running their own successful jewelry businesses. And last night as I was reviewing and cleaning out Simply Katie’s inbox, I came across an interesting email newsletter from Rena Klingenburg of Jewelry Making Journal so I stopped to read it. You know, I really I admire the way Rena presents her jewelry and business topics, very comfortable and informal always relevant content for every stage of a handmade jewelry business. There’s always something I can use to tweak Simply Katie’s SK Wire Jewelry and make every aspect a better experience for you.

Anyway, I was reading Rena’s tutorials on homemade patina methods for brass and copper when I came across a great Q & A video she recently posted called Making Your Jewelry Business Meaningful and I was compelled to share it with you. This is something I admit I’ve been struggling with because I wasn’t sure Simply Katie’s message is being heard. Rena’s video was insightful, inspiring and encouraging because her tips were straight in line with what I personally believe, the very message of Simply Katie’s SK Wire Jewelry. You see, I believe jewelry ought to enhance the inner (intangible) and tangible (physical) beauty of a woman, and the inner gentle masculinity of men. Jewelry should not overpower your customers personalities the way in my opinion some designs have a tendency to do. Now I’m not against large chunky, funky statement jewelry or jewelry with a lot of bling, it’s not my style and you won’t find it at Simply Katie’s SK Wire Jewelry. At Simply Katie’s SK Wire Jewelry, enhancing your inner beauty with simple elegant jewelry designs is my business.

In her video Rena gives Jewelry Making Journal readers four tips to make their jewelry business more meaningful to the customer giving them a positive lasting impression. In a nutshell, her Q & A video tips are meant to shift all your focus back onto the customer. How successful my handmade jewelry business is is wholly dependent on where my attention lies whether I’m doing business face to face at local markets or online, my success depends on the experience I give my Simply Katie’s SK Wire Jewelry customers. When you visit and purchase Simply Katie’s SK Wire Jewelry Unique Hand Forged Copper Jewelry designs hand crafted to enhance your natural inner beauty, I’ll continue to give you the undivided attention you deserve because I aim to leave you my customers with the best positive impression you deserve.

As for skwirejewelry.com I admit I have some work to do to make your experience here more memorable, exciting and enticing and I need your help. My goal is to keep SK Wire Jewelry readers coming back for more and to let you know I’m serious about my commitment to you, I’m taking to heart the advice and support offered in Ms. Klingenburg’s video. I’m giving you the undivided attention you deserve, share your comments with SK Wire Jewelry and let me know what you want to read.
